Terms of Service

Community-supported agriculture is an agreement between eaters and farmers who live in the same locality - it is the development of a visceral relationship with food and nature.  Building a relationship with your local food producers is the most effective way to create resilience in our local food system.

Farming is an occupation unlike most others in that we are majorly subjected to the weather, and in the face of climate change, the weather is increasingly more unpredictable.  On our farm, we do everything within our means to create favorable environments for your food to grow, and we take great pride in the quality and consistency of what we grow. The resilience gifted to our farm through community-supported agriculture is founded in the commitment you make with us at the beginning of the season.  Your commitment is to stay with us for the course of the season, through thick and thin.  In the event of a catastrophe or major crop loss, we will not issue refunds.  We expect that you will understand the importance of creating resilience in local farms and that you accept this risk with the health of your community in mind. The funds from your purchase are used at the beginning of the season to buy all the materials needed for vegetable production, as well as during the season for labor; our production is wholly based on the demand created by your purchase - we grow just for you!

The items in your delivery are selected specifically for you, based on your order. If you fail to pick up your order, you are still obligated to pay for the items you have ordered.  Orders may be put on hold in the event that the customer is not able to pick up, and proper arrangements have been made with the farmer.  Putting a hold on your share must be acknowledged by the farmer, who should be notified at least 7 days prior to when you would like to impose a hold.

We will inspect and pack all orders before distribution; if your order gets damaged during delivery we will provide a store credit so long as the damaged goods are reported upon notice of defect, and returned.

Our goal is to provide the highest quality produce, and we only deliver market-grade products. It is your responsibility to understand that since we do not use pesticides or herbicides, fruits and vegetables may not look "perfect".  So long as the vegetables are determined by the farmer to be market-grade, returns will not be accepted.

We offer A La Carte capabilities with your subscription that are to be utilized by you on a weekly basis in accordance with the deadlines associated with your pickup location.  If you fail to choose items for your weekly order and have not formally put a hold on your share, the farmer will select the items in your order for you based on the size of your share and then will deliver your share to your designated drop off.
